"Le goût de l'aventure" : to explore without touching, on tiptoe. Silence and darkness. A place freezed in time, immobile, sweating with history. Pieces of furniture, papers left there on the floor as if the occupants had left one friday evening never to return the monday morning. To explore an abandoned place is like estimating, sizing time going. To reconstitute its history, its operation, its memory. To examine each track, each sign, to take pleasure detecting beauty in each recess. To haunt corridors, rooms.

Like a phantom.
